What our volunteers say about working with IDA:

“It is an absolute privilege to volunteer for IDA. In addition to learning more about light pollution and being able to actually see myself making a difference, I have been able to expand my work experience and have been granted many great opportunities to grow as a person through my volunteer work.” -Lauren Scorzafava, Communications Support Volunteer

“Being a volunteer at IDA is so fulfilling! I’ve always been fond of the stars and being an internal part of an organization who works to protect them is awesome! Learning new skills that will help advance my career is a plus. It’s a small way to make a big difference!” – Paras Pirzada, Social Media Volunteer
