Camping Responsibly to Preserve Nature’s Beauty

• Use designated facilities or bury human waste 6-8 inches deep, 200 feet from water sources

Leave What You Find
• Preserve the past: observe, but do not touch cultural or historic structures and artifacts
• Leave rocks, plants, and other natural objects as you find them

Minimize Campfire Impacts
• Use established fire rings or camp stoves where possible
• Keep fires small and burn all wood to ash, then scatter cool ashes

Respect Wildlife
• Observe wildlife from a distance and never feed animals
• Store food and trash securely to avoid attracting wildlife

Be Considerate of Other Visitors
• Yield to other users on the trail
• Take breaks away from trails and other visitors to allow them to pass undisturbed

By following these principles, we can ensure that future generations will have the same opportunity to enjoy these natural wonders. Remember, when we visit these special places, we should aim to leave them exactly as we found them – or even better.
