We are so excited to announce this year’s book club reading: Nightfaring: In Search of the Disappearing Darkness by our opening speaker, Megan Eaves-Egenes.

In Nightfaring, Megan Eaves, travel writer, journalist, dark-sky advocate, and editor of Nightscape magazine, journeys around the world to explore our enduring connection to the night sky and what we stand to lose as darkness disappears. Along the way, she examines the environmental impacts of light pollution, from disrupting bird migration to affecting our own circadian rhythms.
Blending travel writing, history, and environmental insight, Nightfaring is a thought-provoking exploration of the value of darkness and the importance of protecting our night skies.
This special event precedes Under One Sky, DarkSky’s global conference, where Eaves will be the keynote speaker. Attendees will have the chance to discuss Megan’s pursuit of the night and all its wonders before she shares her narrative at the conference.
Keep turning the pages- we can’t wait to see you there!
Nightfaring can be purchased at your local bookstore, on bookshop.org, or wherever you like to get your books. It is also available as an audiobook.
